Since January 12, 2009, the government has required you to complete an online form and be cleared through the electronic system for travel authorization, or ESTA, in order to be admitted to the US. This electronic system, which is speedy and easy to use, replaces the old paper documentation, I-94W, that travelers to the US formerly had to fill out.
